SOFA SUNDAY April 21: Paper Beat Scissors + Wandarian

Under the moniker Paper Beat Scissors, Tim Crabtree constructs delicate and intricate tapestries of songs. Over 10 years and 3 albums, the Montréal based Brit has drawn praise from the BBC "Startling and beautiful" and Rolling Stone "enormously powerful layers of sound". The project began in Halifax, and, after 15 years, Crabtree is now returning to Europe, and this will be his final Nova Scotian show before the move!

No stranger to the guitar or the stage, Hants co. transplant Jesse Griffith aka wandarian melds styles and sounds from every which way. Performing a rare solo set, there’ll be a few singing songs, a few instrumentals and maybe some noise. Every song is a blank canvas for which to paint upon. Each moment brings a new opportunity, a lifelong search for truth that escapes the tongue. Finding the beauty in chaos and exposing tension in the tranquility. Music is the vessel, the journey and the destination all at once. Each time he picks up the guitar a brand new adventure awaits, a new story unfolds.
