Note: Most activities are free to drop into, however, tickets are required for Saturday’s lunch with PieceMeal (order by June 13th), Tanya Davis’ ‘Mass for Shut-Outs’ and the pancake breakfast on Sunday.

KIDS ZONE W/ DR KEN RAJ LESLIE & TEAM
ALL WEEKEND!!
We are thrilled to welcome back Dr. Ken Raj Leslie (founder of 'Make Your Own Fun') and his team! The Kids Zone will be open all weekend with fun for all, including giant bubble blowing, boffer battles, puppets, cardboard technology, LEGO pit, music making and more!

Taking place throughout the Newport Landing Waterfront Park, the Solstice Market will showcase a variety of local crafters, herbalists, small businesses and food vendors, with a BBQ fundraiser in support of the museum and shipyard.

Pamela will guide you in a few breathing techniques that will leave you calm, clear and energized for the day. When you use your breath in specific patterns it creates different effects in the body that can clear stress, calm your nervous system and give you energy. KIDS JAMS W/ BRAD

Brad McGoey is a lively simultaneous multi-instrumentalist and multi-disciplinary artist whose work centers around placemaking, creative repurposing, and community music. Kids Jam with Brad is all about giving young humans and their caregivers a chance to experience and explore songs, dancing, and music making instruments in a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere.

In celebration of World Localization Day on Saturday, June 21, join Centre for Local Prosperity at 11:30am at the Avondale Hall for a screening of and discussion about Local Futures' short film Closer to Home and grab lunch from PieceMeal Food Provisions!

DRUMMING W/ DJUGDJUG ENSEMBLE

Join Djugdjug Ensemble for a hands-on West-African drumming workshop. You will learn a few djembe rhythms and play along to a traditional song. Drums are provided, but feel free to bring your own. The workshop is intended for beginners, but all levels are welcome!

Join us for a Community Circle gathering, led by Nina Paris. Nina is a skillful Wild Woman Project Circle Facilitator, mama, homesteader, and yoga & meditation teacher. This Community Circle will include guided meditation, breathwork and optional heart sharing. Sit in community, see and be seen.

'MUSIC FOR PAPER' W/ CHAMPAGNE WEATHER

Music for Paper is not your average music workshop. Not even close. For one, there aren't any instruments. All you get is a piece of paper. No rules. Just you, some new friends, a sheet of paper, and a whole lot of unexpected creativity. This is music-making for the curious, the shy, the bold, the nervous, and the confident. No wrong notes. No pressure. Just play. Led by James Hill and Anne Janelle of Champagne Weather, Music for Paper is part chill hang, part sonic adventure, and entirely unforgettable.

New Earth Academy is a fine arts program offered throughout the year, where children can explore a variety of artistic mediums, including filmmaking, songwriting, visual arts, theatre, and more! Students are encouraged to follow their passions, and each semester, we curate the curriculum based on their interests, supporting their unique artistic journeys.
This summer, we are excited to host a Children’s Open Mic at Full Circle — and it's open to all kids in the community, not just those enrolled in our programs! We welcome any child who would like to share their talents with a supportive audience.

SOUND HEALING W/ PAMELA LOCKHART

Close your eyes, get still and let your body receive the beautiful and restful sounds of singing bowls and other sound healing instruments. Each instrument is tuned towards healing frequencies that help your body come back to balance. bring a yoga mat, blanket and water if you have them. Some will be provided for the event.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST W/ SWEET BEAN

Join us for a pancake breakfast with music by Sweet Bean. Pancakes will be served in the Shipyard starting at 9am. Customize your pancakes by choosing from a variety of delicious toppings. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on site at the Lighthouse Cafe.

‘Mass for Shut-Outs’ is a shout out to anyone grappling with the complexity of faith, the inconsistency of awe, and the politics of organized religion. Loosely referencing the framework of a Catholic mass, it is a poetic take on Sunday service, exploring enduring questions through a joyful, critical, and comedic lens. It is for atheists seeking connection, agnostics asking questions, and believers kindly curious about other people’s gods.
