Saturday

Herb Walk with John Cummings: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Meet at the Avondale Hall - Come take a herb walk through the forests of this area with John Cummings, a Clinical Herbalist and herb farmer who runs Green Man Botanicals. After more than 10 years of studying and using our local flora for healing, John will take us for a forest walk where we will identify and discuss uses of our local medicinal plants and how to utilize them. Inspired by our indigenous plants, we will try to focus on traditional uses of those plants that were here prior to European contact. Be ready for a journey into the plant world!

Let's gather together to make tiny homes for the salt air fairies of Avon River. They love homes made of seaweed, mud and twigs. Let’s find tiny stones and beautiful treasures to guide the fairies to the little dwelling places we will create.

Jungle Jams with Matt Gallant: 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. - Ball Field
This is a big drum jam aimed for kids, but parents and drum enthusiasts usually join in too. We bring in different percussion instruments like steel drums that are big enough for 5 or 6 kids to play at once. If you can pick up a stick, clap your hands or hum along you can discover Jungle Drums!
